Andrea Stramaccioni was interviewed by Sky after the game:

“We had problems in the beginning both in defense and in attack, but if you take away the beginning of the match I liked what I saw of Inter because we were compact and dangerous. We conceded a goal on a set piece where we lost concentration. We are moving forward step by step and I am happy with this growth.”

Stramaccioni then explains that his intention was to play with Cassano from start:

“Cassano on the bench? That’s the beauty of football, I wanted to play with him, but at practice this morning he had a small problem and I had to re-evaluate, I actually would have let him and Milito play on top and this is the beautiful thing about football. There were no mind games, I said I would play with Cassano because I am convinced that he is the one in the best shape, but Mudingayi-Gargano Cambiasso was the most logical way to face Bologna, also because we are missing Sneijder and Coutinho. I told Mudingayi not to let Diamanti play the ball in the middle and he was awesome, and to remove Diamanti entirely is difficult because we’re talking about a really good football player. I do not remember a single chance created by Bologna and I am happy.”

“I am very proud to be Inter’s coach, if we have taken eight straight wins away from home, it is due to the guys who always follow me, I’m happy and want to show that the president didn’t do anything wrong when he gave me confidence. Juve? I watched the first half, then it was time for the game and I was told that Juventus won. Don’t forget that we play on Wednesday night too.”
