Andrea Ranocchia was interviewed shortly after todays fixture against Palermo by Italian RAI: “We are approching things by taking it one match at a time and we’ve been working well like we have been for the past 10 days. Now we will prepare for the Europa League fixture then we will start to shift focus to the Napoli fixture. You go through brilliant times then you have moments where thigs are more difficult, today the most important thing was to win in order to remain competitive in the table and to keep chasing those in front. Sneijder on the pitch? I don’t know, these things are decided by the coach and the club. Sneijder is working hard, he feels well. We just have to hope that this situation is solved as soon as possible.”

Moments later Ranocchia was interviewed by Inter Channel where he was asked about the goal: “I can’t claim credit for the goal but I’m happy anyway. I always see these opportunities when they arise….[smiles] Today I was given space to reach all the way to their penalty area, it went well, I tried to bring the ball with me and whenever I could I tried to get involved. We were also ´very solid in defence today” Ranocchia concluded.
