After today’s win against Palermo, a moved Inter skipper Javier Zanetti was interviewed by the clubs own Tv-station, Inter Channel: “The goal was very important as it gave us three very important points in a close and hardfought encounter. We wanted to play high up with our midfield in order to make it easier on our defenders to take part in the game. The substitution? It was a very emotional moment, the supporters applauded me, the entire stadium just for me. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart because the affection they show me is a great cause of satisfaction to me.”
Then Zanetti started to look to the upcoming fixtures against Neftci in the Europa League as well as Napoli on the Serie A: “There is always room for improvement although I must say it’s easier to improve after a win” Inter’s legendary captain concluded.
