Catania have insisted that playmaker Francesco Lodi will not be leaving the club when the transfer window opens.

The 28-year-old is being linked with a possible switch to Inter, but the Sicilian outfit are adamant that he is going nowhere.

“Lodi will certainly stay here,” Catania chief Antonino Pulvirenti commented. “Any clubs who contact me for any of my players in January will be wasting their time.”

Lodi, a former Italian Under-21 international, is a dead-ball specialist who has scored four goals in 18 League appearances this season.
