Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin points out his team are “not afraid of Milan” even after their differing recent results.

“We are not afraid of Milan, even if they played very well against the best team in the world,” the creative midfielder told La Stampa.

“Serie A is different to the Champions League, plus when it’s the Derby anything can happen. We are footballers and know how certain things work. Predictions are pointless and above all do not affect us.

I don’t mind who scores as long as the team wins. Having said that, of course I’d love to net in the Derby.”

Mario Balotelli is facing his former club, but so is Inter striker AntonioCassano.

“Cassano is unique and such an extrovert. That filters through into the way he sees football and thinks up extraordinary passes.

“As for myself, this isn’t my best season, but I have time to develop and give 100 per cent.”
