Bessa

Little playing time in Vicenza, but a future that shall be written. Despite the farewell to Andrea Stramaccioni, Daniel Bessa wants to return to Inter, where he lifted the trophy after winning the youth Champions League, NextGen. Our partner fcinternews.it got an exclusive interview with the player.

Daniel, an evaluation of those six months in Vicenza. You did manage to remain in Serie B, but you feel that it has helped you to come back from injury?

“I would say that these four months in Vicenza has made me see the world from a different angle and mature. Unfortunately, the football has gone bad, but when you come back from such an injury and six month absence from football, I have a hard time seeing that it would have gone differently elsewhere. Personally, I am calm and happy to have recovered. I think I will benefit from this experience.”

How is your form? Are you free from your knee injury?

“I’m fine now. I’m already longing for the next season to begin, I’m really charged…”

At Inter’s you’ll find Walter Mazzarri now. What’s your impression of him from the outside? Will you be ready?

“The coach has earned the Inter coaching bench. I think that’s enough. He seems to be a very strong coach, I’ll be in the best shape to impress him and get space.”

A thought to Andrea Stramaccioni who launched you.

“I’m sorry for him, not least because I, for various reasons could not play with him in the first team, after we won the Next Generation Series.”

What is the best solution for your future? Do you feel that you need one more year of experience before returning to Milan?

“I left to recuperate from a knee injury. If I had stayed in Milan I don’t know if I could have contributed to Inter, I wasn’t good. But now I am, I want to stay at Inter, the one deciding that is not me and I’m waiting.”

A thought for your friend Duncan. He finished the season in Livorno very well, are you happy to see him again? And is he ready for Inter?

“Duncan is very good. I think he was ready for the first team before the experience in Livorno, I’m ready to see him at Inter.”
