After a long time of discussions, Saphir Taider joined Inter. Bologna wanted 20 million euros for their talented youngster, Inter valued him a lot less. In the end the deal was made because it is very hard to stop a deal where a player wants to leave, a club needs to sell(Bologna) and another club wants to buy the player(Inter). Many are we who have been critisizing the project of Inter, the will to play with young players and with talents. Mostly we’ve been right, but in Saphir Taider Inter have found the perfect type of youngster that is supposed to lead the club to a new period of greatness.

In the latest games Saphir Taider has showed the world who he is and why Inter bought him because of his footballing qualities. There were those who doubted him and wondered what he’d do in the team or if he’d play. Right now it feels like Saphir has grabbed his spot in the starting eleven for Inter. A couple of journalists asked themselves if Taider was in good enough physical shape to match the others because he had missed the pre season with Mazzarri. Though as always, the kid was well-prepared. The test results showed that Taider had prepared greatly with Bologna. Hard work on the pitch, hard work off the pitch.

“I am Saphir Taider, and I don’t fear anyone.” I bet I wasn’t the only one who smiled a bit when I heard those words from Saphir Taider on his first press conference as an Inter player. On point, clear, proud and honest. This kid isn’t joking. Just like some journalist said a couple of days ago: “Mazzarri’s Inter shouldn’t fear anyone.” From being relegated with Grenoble Taider joined Bologna where he was a regular starter his second season at the club. No fear, and no respect(in a good way, not like Balotelli) and a very hard working guy, that is Saphir Taider. He knows about his qualities and he gives Inter’s midfield many alternatives.

Trequartista, regista, mezzala. Saphir Taider masters every position on the midfield and can be useful everywhere. With his mentality he’ll go far and he is showing what he knows on the pitch as well. Saphir Taider is an Inter player who is sharing the mentality that we supporters have wanted to see for a long time. Who knows how many critisizing newspaper articles there would’ve been written if Inter were the ones who co-owned him, and then let him go back to Bologna before he joined Juventus, instead of the opposite(which we thank juve for).

“We must only think about winning and working hard. Inter is a great club that must always aim at winning titles.”

Hard work, feet on the ground and clear targets have taken Saphir Taider from Grenoble to Bologna and from Bologna to Inter. From Inter he’ll hopefully take himself to the top of the world. But for now, he’ll have to do with being a symbol of Mazzarri’s new Inter. No fear, concentrated and hard working.
