With six goals so far Palacio has made a name for himself as one of the most prolific strikers in Inter’s recent history. Looking at the Argentine’s goalscoring in the first nine games, since Ronaldo’s days (1997/98) it’s just a few that have done better than Palacio. It should also be added that Palacio plays as a central striker in Militos absence and usually plays as a second striker.
Those who have scored more goals, or as many as Palacio in the first nine games of a season is Eto’o (7 goals in 10/11), Ibrahimovic (7 in 07/08), Adriano (7 in 04/05) and Ronaldo (7 in 1997/98) and the one who has the record, Christian Vieri (8 in 02/03). Thus, all other attackers such as Milito, Cassano, Cruz, Crespo, Recoba, Zamorano and Djorkaeff all have done a worse job than Palacio.
