Today was the first day of training ahead of Sunday’s away game against the Udinese of Francesco Guidolin. The team was split into two groups: the players who were involved in the game against Atalanta did recovery work, while all the other players did some technical drills and played practice games.

However, there was a lot of waiting for the test results for the injured players. The results for Mauro Icardi weren’t too positive: the Argentinian striker didn’t participate in today’s training because of a groin muscle problem, the same injury that has been bothering him for some time and is stopping him from performing at his best. The test results also arrived for Samir Handanovic, who was forced to exit the last game due to a physical problem. The Slovenian keeper took a knock to the hip bone, a knock that puts him at risk for the next game against Udinese. Hugo Campagnaro is still unlikely to join the squad for the trip to Udine, but he has started working on the pitch in addition to his therapy exercises.
