Inter’s honorary president Massimo Moratti made some important statements regarding the club in an exclusive interview with our partner fcinternews.it. The transfer market, the current season and the coach were some of the topics touched on by the previous owner of Inter, who’s still close the club.
President Moratti, in recent weeks the have names which are constantly circulating regarding the next striker for Inter have been Torres, Dzeko and Morata. What do you think?
“I must say that I know very little about Morata, while Torres and Dzeko are two established strikers. Regarding the Spaniard I must say that he does a lot better this season compared to the other years. When you talk about City’s striker you’re talking about a security. I certainly don’t know what we can do.”
Do you have any particular preference between the three?
“I would say no, it depends on the coach and how he will use them to play.”
As for coach Mazzarri, can we confirm that he to 100% will be given continued confidence?
“Well, you can ask me for advice, but I think he will continue in the position.”
We return to the theme of the transfer market, at what position would you strengthen the team?
“I have to honestly say that I like the team as it is. With a little more luck I don’t think many acquisitions are needed.”
Is the minimum target this season Europa League?
“We will do all that is possible.”
