The primary objective for Inter this summer is not in question: It’s Edin Dzeko of Manchester City. So writes the Corriere dello Sport this morning. What must now be figured out is how the Nerazzurri can acquire the Bosnian international. A loan is impossible so the idea of reducing the fee by inserting a counterpart must be considered. The name that springs to mind is that of Samir Handanovic. Despite not having a spectacular season, the Slovenian internationals value abroad has not diminished. One name that won’t be included is Mateo Kovacic states the report, despite not playing much the Croation starlet is at the centre of this project and will not be sent away. With a number of defenders leaving (Lescott and Demichelis) the Italian Andrea Ranocchia would be a cheaper alternative to that of Mangala (Porto) who is the Citizens preferred choice.

With City in the middle of a title race nothing will be decided until the end of the season. To this point all Inter have done is request information from the agents in charge of Dzeko. It should not be forgotten that Arsenal are watching the situation very closely.
