Mateo Kovacic has won over Inter. It took some time to convince Mazzarri but the coach now seems to want to reward the progress of the Croatian gem. Against Napoli he proved his class and it is now clear to Walter Mazzarri after the 0-0 draw at the San Siro because “the time was right”. Speaking of time, it is seven days until the derby against Milan, which no Interista would miss. Mazzarri commented on his fine match: “He has become useful in the defensive parts of the game and has improves his shooting.” Kovacic was the heart of the Nerazurri and acted as a reference point, which opened up space for his teammates in the middle of the pitch. The only thing missing is goals but they will come. Next Sunday is the test and Mateo is ready.
