While in Bergomo for a game in memory of Piemario Morosini, current Inter defender Marco Andreolli spoke to SkySport about Piermario Morosini, who died in 2012, his future, and the treble winners. Here’s what he said:

On Piermario Morosini: “We grew up together on a football level. We’ve known each other for a long time, since we were 15-16 years old, when we began to dream about becoming a footballer together and then we found each other at Vicenza. I’m glad to see so many friends, but Piermario was just a real friend, he wasn’t like the others. I had to be strong today. The goal against Chievo? He knew that I had to willingly release to move forward.”

On the future: “Will you remain at Inter? I have a long contract, that is that. Like you guys said, it’s been a long journey back here. I think that there is desire to continue between both parties, in football ‘never say never’, but the intention is that.”

On the treble winners: “The heroes of the treble? I don’t know who has helped me the most, but as a defender I will say Samuel. I tried to take his advice, and his career can teach you a lot. Young people who are there and those who will come will have to keep in mind what they have given.”
