Rome-based Corriere dello Sport reports that Lazio are keen on signing Algerian midfielder Saphir Taider, if their bids to sign other players should fail.

According to the newspaper “if the proposed bid for Parolo were to be unsuccessful, Lazio have already set their sights on the Algerian, Saphir Taider, who is co-owned between Inter (where he received very little playing time last year) and Bologna, where he was coached by Stefano Pioli. This interest from Lazio is due to the new Lazio coach Pioli expressly having asked for the player which has prompted the club to try to get involved and prevent the deal that see’s the young Algerian make a move to Rubin Kazan as part of payment for Yann M’Vila’s transfer to Inter.”
