Gianluca di Marzio writes on his blog about Lukas Podolski’s situation:

“It’s a negotiation that goes forward and that probably will go through decisive moments in the coming hours. Inter keep going strong for Podolski who didn’t play today against Southampton. The request from Arsenal is clear: 2 million euro’s for a six month loan(without any buying option). Inter then would have to pay Podolski’s wages until June, an ammount close to 1.8 million euro’s seeing as the German’s wages is 3.6 million euro’s net a season. All by all this deal would cost about 5.6 million euro’s. At the moment this is what Arsenal wants and the situation could change in the coming hours. Inter’s last offer is one million euro’s for a dry loan until June. A proposal that Inter doesn’t have the intention to top. There are decisive hours and the official answer from Arsenal is expected tomorrow. In or out, Inter is waiting for the deal to move and the negotiations for Podolski is at the last decisive stage.”
