Icardi sky

Today Alessandro Oliva, a journalist from Calcio&Finanza, spoke to Zone Football on Radio Stereo 5:

“If Inter do not get into Europe, then they will lose a lot of money.  Icardi is a young striker who wants to show what he can do.  He [Icardi] is expected to be sacrificed if Inter do not reach their goal.  Icardi is worth around 40 million euros and the only team that can afford him right now is Juventus, but he has been linked to Barcelona as well.”

  • I miss Marco Branca

Dont worry Inter fans Ausilio will find Capable replacements for Branca’s picks…..like replacing Rocchi for Podolski (gee, which one is worse) or replacing Silvestre for Vidic (gee, which one is worse) or Gargano for Medel (kinda the same right) so Maybe Ausilio will do better than Branca and replace Handanovic with Carizo and replace Icardi with Amauri !

    • Ignatius Benny

Ausilio transfer market way better than Branca. Podolsky just loan with option to buy and we don’t buy him. Vidic we get free and i can assure you he still adapt. Medel maybe a mediocre player but this player never tired and not injury prone. And Ausilio can get Shaq. Beating Liverpool. Not the best transfer. But he way better than Branca.

      • I miss Marco Branca

oh really……who brought Icardi, Kovacic and Handanovic to Inter? and who brought Vidic, Dodo, M’villa, Medel and Osvaldo to Inter ? The only one that Ausilio brought to inter with any worth was Shaqiri and that has more to do with Mancini than Ausilio !!

        • Ignatius Benny

Vidic, Dodo, Mvilla, Medel and Osvaldo is brought to suit with Mazzari tactics. And again Ausilio not make permanent contract to M’Villa and Osvaldo. Vidic still useful and Dodo again this is Mazzari request for Left Wing back. Medel maybe not the best signing but I can’t imagine what will Branca sign after we don’t have Cambiasso, Samuel and Milito with not big fund. Branca did sign player with large budget but not smart move. For you to refresh, remember how he want to switch Guarin with Vucinic..Damn how much we buy Guarin? Shaqiri of course with Mancini help. But again the transfer guru still Ausilio. He find the player first then ask Mancini. To me, he still great negotiator coz we fighting with Liverpool. Move on, Man.

          • I miss Marco Branca

Dodo’s mandatory buyout at 9 million is not my idea of a good transfer deal by Ausilio especially since Shaqiri was bought at 15 million !!

          • Ignatius Benny

Dodo still below 10 million, right? Besides any idea another left full back that Inter should sign below 10 million? Shaqiri 15 million but do you know how much Liverpool offer to Bayern? So move on,man. Let’s support new Inter era.

          • I miss Marco Branca

Just admit that 9 mill for Dodo was a waste of money !! so was 6 mill for Silvestre, 7 mill for Schelotto, 10 mill for Belfodil, 11 mill for Pereira…..these are all players still owned by inter because NOBODY WANTS INTER’S CRAP !!

          • Ignatius Benny

Hmm…Accortding to Inter history 90’s until now Inter always waste money on left back. But gee, Branca more waste inter money in every area. If you trully Inter fan, you know Branca make a lot of mistake and waste money impropiate. In Ausilio era, Inter can sell their primavera player but have option to buy. This is a lot of improvement transfer policy. Can’t wait what he will do in this summer.

          • I miss Marco Branca

In the ausilio era inter builds for the future with loan deals with the option to buy ……. And how is that working out? Mvilla and Osvaldo…gone!! Medel not worth buying…….guarin + kovacic + shaqiri + kuzmanovic + schelotto = 53 million euros but if they were smart like juve with their, money they could get marchisio +pirlo+pogba+Vidal for 13 million and pocket 40 million euros!!

          • Ignatius Benny

True..I’m only saying Ausilio did better than Branca. But not with Juve. To me, this Inter squad still mediocre player. Only Handa and Icardi are worth player right now. Inter should learn from FC Porto.

Icardi dream is playing for Barca but to speak my heart out we need Juve money they can spend it elsewhere

  • Walter White

Icardi is gone by the end of the summer.

    • Abdi

Agree…both Handanovic and Icardi should be sacrified. Lets get as much as possible from their sale.

      • frigo

Can you explain me why Icardi should be sacrificed, but keeping players like Ranocchia, Guarin, Nagatomo, etc. even Medel or Hernanes as a last resort? And i wanna ask a simple question, who’s the responsibility that we will miss european tournaments this year, in contrast to previous? We will be forced to make sacrifices, only just because lack of european games.

        • Abdi

Yes my friend i can explain. Icardi, Handanovic and Kovacic are the only ones with real value in the market. I love Icardi but if we can get 40 million for him that is good. We tried to sell Guarin so many times nobody want to buy him. But i agree we should get rid of almost everybody Ranocchia, Juan, Kuz, Hernanes, Guarin, Nagatomo, Palacio, Campagnaro, Jonathan and many more. Only Medel, Brozovic, Santon, Andreolli, Shaqiri, Puscas and Kovacic can stay. We need a complete new team built around Kovacic.

          • Solberg – Norway

            swap:
            – guarin with paulinho
            – hernanes with lavezzi

there is actually less work needed to create a good team than you would think..

Paulinho is good at cm, both defending and going forward. Brozovic is not bad either.

The latest rumor is hernanes-lavezzi swap. I know lavezzi is old and maybe in a decline. But, he is still very good and will bring champion attitude and creativity to the team.

In my eyes medel is a problem. Yes, he does his defending well but thats about it. he is not creating anything. why use him? Put kovacic in his place. let kovacic play his game while brozo and paulinho (or someone) back him up so he can have more freedom. modric, rakitic and brozo did well against norway, and not one of the players are a DM. Why should inter have one. Its all up to work ethics..

I’m actually hoping ranocchia stays in inter for a long time. i know he is very on-and-off, but in the end he will be a quality defender. He needs confidence, as the rest of the team. Lazio are in 3rd place -theyre team are not better than inters. inter of 2010 was not as good as barca (on paper), inter still won. Its all motivation and confidence..

icardi should definitely not be sold. he is a future world star in the making. kova needs confidence.

regarding confidence: shaqiri, brozovic, podolski all performed for their national team. inter has a negative dressing-room atmosphere. thats it. the team is good.

with just a few tweaks, inter will be back and inter are actually closer than ever.

          • Abdi

Agree with you there. We dont really need a DM like Medel. Look at Real for example who have Kroos, Modric and Isco in midfield. But yet Mancini wants one. We have almost signed players like Allan and Toulalan. So forget about Kova playing in the deeplying playmaker role. Damn Mancio wants to turn Kovacic into a trequartista for his favourite 4-2-3-1 system.

          • Solberg – Norway

yepp. it will never work out, hope I’m wrong though

  • PhiLeo

the danger of losing your star player is always there if the club fails to compete in the highest level of competition, and Inter is unfortunately is in that region. if however Icardi wants to remain with Inter, then that is his choice. But competing in just the local matches and not being able to show his potential further more to impress the Argentine national coach is another matter. Icardi is eager for this chance, and pretty sure he couldn’t miss out on that chances in any club playing in CL would come for his signature. Inter could have become like Barca or at the Juve current level if the club management have been more precise and calculative in their deals done so far. Inter already concede they could lose Handanovic and now Icardi could join the ranks to leave the club. That’s the management to answer the fans for the fallout of European competition.

    • Mohamed

Icardi is eager to play in a team with CL without a doubt, however I would assume he would not move unless inter fail to reach Europa League. You have to take another consideration into account, if Icardi leaves he wants to be the main man for the project at hand in the new club and not to be left at the bench. He is guranteed first team football at inter and many critisize mancini for being an idiot to say he wants to compete for the title next year, but many do not realise him saying that gives motivation for the star players as Icardi to stay, even if the end result would lead inter to 3rd or 4th place in the league at the very least next season. Mancini would have around 6 months of league time to transfer what sort of football is expected of a winning team in a slow pace (since he took over from mazzari until end of may) and a summer to have the players he wants in every position (defendece, midfield and attack). I know many interista are expecting results (including myself) at every single match, but taking into account many many coaches has come and left this team since the treble, it would be fair to give time until next year to judge the management side of this team.

      • PhiLeo

I only put it as an “assumption” if Inter did failed. I also stated that IF Icardi wants to leave or not is his decision. There are alot of clubs who wants him take consideration Chelsea, Barcelona, Altletico even French and German clubs. With his talent able to play as single or pair strikers Icardi only has the world at his feet. With many clubs has players that can put in better crosses into the penalty box more accurately than those at Inter, i have no problem that Icardi could turn out to be 30goals per season striker. Now tell me what is his chances if Inter fails? From the look at things, these are worried times for all Inter fan. Yes, you are true that RM cannot be fully responsible for much of the woes the club has gotten into, but at least a win against minor team would have eased the pain on the fans, what more the pressure on the team as well.

        • Mohamed

I think you misunderstood me.. I was not really disagreeing with you regarding icardi I was merely adding another dimensions to your views and thoughts on the matter, basically expanding on your views rather than being on the opposing view. And regarding the teams recent misfall, it is clear that inter have improved their style of play but the strikers are not clinical.. There were so many chance in every recent game inter played, and I’m more angry at the players for not delivering the end result by scoring or in some cases defending.

          • PhiLeo

Ok. My apologies for misunderstanding. But hoping for a better result till end of the season is remain to be seen.

          • Mohamed

No worries.. It’s a discussion after all.. Forza inter!!

          • PhiLeo

            Yes. Forza Inter!

          • Patar Ronnie Hatigoran

The best words “There were so many chance in every recent game inter played, and I’m more angry at the players for not delivering the end result by scoring or in some cases defending”.

I always said, football games is simple but also tricky.. And my principle about football will never change..

“If you don’t want to lose, do not conceded. If you conceded, then score more.” As simple as that, and anyone in football didn’t know about this they should quit.

Also.. Ranochia end up contract this year..

          • Mohamed

I really hope he does not renew.. It would be a dream.
