Icardi

Mauro Icardi has been talking about a range of subjects including his clash with Inter fans, his contract renewal and his private life in an interview for CNN.

On his clash with the fans the Inter top goal scorer had this to say.

“It was a moment of nervousness and very emotional. The fans were angry and passionate. We exchanged words and I simply said that they had to support the team until the end at all times.”

On the renewal of his contract the Argentine had this to say.

“I still have 3 years on my contract so it’s more than possible to find an agreement where all parties are happy. My agent is talking to the club and we are about to reach an agreement. They are trying to resolve the situation and when it happens I will sign. I’m sure I will be very happy at Inter.”

“If any clubs want me they will need to talk to Inter. If Inter decide to sell me then I’ll pack up and leave. If they don’t then I will stay in Milan where I’m comfortable and happy. My family feels at home here.”

The interview then turned to Icardi’s form at Inter.

“It’s the result of my arrival at Inter 2 years ago. When I signed I was happy with the contract and I signed with joy and the desire to prove myself and be an important player for Inter.”

The interview ended with talk about his private life starting with his relationship with Maxi Lopez.

“No (laughs), we were friends at my time at Sampdoria and after all that’s happened there is nothing left.”

“Wanda? She is at my side every day, giving me advice and she always helps me and makes me feel better when I’m sick. She means everything to me.”
