Zenit St Petersburg’s Domenico Criscito is the latest name to be linked to Inter’s left hand side.

The left back has been followed for a long time by Genoa but according to reports from Sky Sport 24, in the last hour Inter have made contact with the 28 year old’s entourage with a summit meeting planned with Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio.

The Italian international enter a list of names identified by Inter coach Roberto Mancini for the left back position.

Criscito is good enough as long we can sell danilo or naga first… (santon is save) 🙂

  • Herditya Pradipta

    He’s 28 already? Well.. that’s alarming

    • slim_blues_boy

and what the hell wrong with that?
28 is still within golden age of footballer.

      • Herditya Pradipta

How many international caps he has under his belt to date?
        He’ll be another deadwood.

        • slim_blues_boy

LOL, you just simply make exaggerate generalization here. everyone would be ended up as a deadwood eventually.
neither age nor national team caps automatically reflect whether player a deadwood or not.
did di natale was a deadwood despite his 30+ age? heck, even his best best performance started when he’s 33.
did luca toni was a deadwood while he approaching his end of career? nope, in last two season he scored 20 and 22 goals at age 36-38. same as hubner when he became top scorer at age of 35.
how many national team called up did Milito achieve? only 25 in total. how many time did he played for national team when we bought him? only 6 times. did it mean he’s deadwood?

meanwhile, Shaqiri, at age of 23, has 46 called up with 17 goals, but yet at the moment he’s only a deadwood in our squad.

santon will not be a starter with mancini as he wanted a defensive LB to switch the formation into 3 CB when montoya attack I didn’t see crisito recently but i am certain this deal will happen

  • PazzaInter

I prefer that we sign Clichy. If we lose on Clichy, we have to go for Criscito but don’t go after Masuaku, Alex Telles or this kind of players…. don’t forget that we have already Santon and Montoya and we are trying to get rid of Nagatomo, D’ambrosio, Dodo ….
From my point of view only Clichy will be what we call “strengthening”.

  • interista13

before we switched to 3 at the back I always used to sign him for Inter in FIFA so it’d be cool to see him in the Nerazzurro, plus I think he’d be a good fit!

  • Inter4Ever

    Hmmm… wouldn’t mind a new full back 🙂

  • kuda

    Ambro is heading out

    • casperv

yep to Napoli, which means we could keep Santon for right back plus Montaye and Criscito – who is a great player, for left!

      • nerazurri88

I read he’s heading towards England. Tottenham hotspurs to be more precise.

  • chris 9

Is he good ?! Haven’t seen him recently

    • Aadrian

I saw russian Inter forum, and they don ´t want him in Inter. Masuaku is better…

      • Deji Akande

Haha this made me chuckle a bit. Thought he wud be a good signing of first thought nd not seeing him play but I’m gonna trust those inter lovers. Forza

  • postal

This means Santon is pretty much out of Mancini’s plan and out of the picture.

    • La Selecta

a that’s too badd. I like criscito for inter though. Maybe Santon as a back up or maybe send him on loan? I want both at Inter!

      • Fiano

I believe, in the end we only have 2 players as RB,
“Montoya and Santon as back up”,

Then 2 players as LB, maybe Criscito or Siqueira or Clichy and Juan Jesus as back up.
Since Santon can play at both wing, then they are enough to the fill the position this season.

        • La Selecta

Well we still have Dodo for LB and D’ambrosio for RB (who could also play on the left).

          • ezeqiel

d’ambrosio got an offer from epl team..

          • La Selecta

ya I saw this after I wrote that lol

    • Majid Alshair

It all depends on who we can sell, i dont think mancini wants shaqiri, santon, medel and co out, but the management have spent over 60 mil this season, with 20 mil to be paid next summer. This is without mentioning jovetic. They only managed to raise just under 30, simple math will tell you that we are 50+ mil over budget, with fans blocking the sale of kovacic, and mancini’s insistance on keeping mauro and samir, means the highest assests that are not untouchable are the most likely to go. Mancini is no idiot, if he and the management can balance the books with guarin, naga, vidic, rano etc. then they would. Players blocking the sale to non top tier clubs is the reason, and we are running out of time …

completely agree with everything except for us running out of time.. we still have an entire month to offload deadweight and I just hope we dont panic sell players like JJ, Santon, D’Ambrosio etc on the cheap just to try and balance the books
