Mourinho - Cambiasso

During an interview that ex Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso granted to BT Sport on the eve of the Champions League match between Arsenal and Olympiakos there have been contributions from some figures who played an important role during the career of the Argentine.

Among these of course, the current Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho with whom ‘Cuchu’ won the Treble in the 2009-2010 season. This is what the ‘Special One’ had to say:

“During my experience at Inter I had access to the best Cambiasso ever. He was in his prime in 29-30 years old. A phenomenal midfielder. Strong, stable and mature.”

I will never forget how well that man played in 09-10. Stellar player.

we never should let him go, I was telling that at the moment. Younger players would learn a lot from him plus we wouldn’t need a bunch of useless midfielders in the meantime

He was the conductor. He may not too strong compared to motta, but his inteligent was more than power itself. Grazie el chucu.

If only we had him at the moment… would have been a real captain

I totally agree.. no one can buy a captain.. I hope Icardi will rise to the occasion.. but i’m not expecting a lot from him as a captain especially he is way too young
