Massimo Moratti spoke to a crowd of journalists regarding the latest updates from the negotiations with the SCG, who seem intent on becoming majority shareholders:

“I think they are talking and I have no news, so we’re still at the old discussion for 20 per cent. If there are any evolutions, I think they’ll be in future. The situations we already know about remain and that includes the option to sell my shares. If someone wants to buy everything, we can reach a solution, including the evaluation of the club. Other than that, there’s no news. I read that story that I was ready to walk away, but no decision has been made yet. Would I sell the shares? I don’t know, we’d have to see the conditions. I say we need to evaluate things when they are concrete and worth reflecting on. Everyone hopes for a stronger club and Thohir has always tried to buy important players, so with 20 per cent the Chinese investors would arrive to give Inter a hand and improve the club’s potential in looking for players. I don’t think there will be any imminent developments, so it’ll take about a month or so. They’ve been negotiating for a while, it can be at a certain point they’ll tell us something. I spoke to Thohir about the issue of selling the majority of shares, but we always discussed 20 per cent as a concrete and practical option.”
