Further to Alfredo Pedullà’s earlier report, Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani has himself confirmed forward Gianluca Caprari is set to sign for Inter. “There was interest from Napoli but they never got back to us, so it looks like he won’t be going there. Inter? Yes, Gianluca is close to joining the Nerazzurri.”

It had initially been thought Caprari would sign for the Vesuviani as part of the deal to sign last season’s Serie B top scorer Gianluca Lapadula. However, since the 26-year-old’s subsequent decision to join AC Milan, Napoli’s interest in Caprari also appears to have gone cold.

Caprari himself contributed 13 goals and 12 assists as Pescara gained promotion to Serie A, and he looks set to return to the Delfini next season in order to gain top flight experience.
