In an interview with Fox Sports, Gabriel Barbosa spoke about Inter, starting from his first contact with coach Frank de Boer:

“I talked to him the day I signed for Inter, we had a chat in Spanish. The fans welcomed me in a crazy way, at that time I didn’t know if I would have signed. I chose Inter for their project, they want to be back to high level, that’s why I decided to go to Milano with my family. At Inter there are great players like Candreva, Icardi who scores a lot of goals, my compatriot Eder. I’m happy for my choice, I joined a great club, people told me good things about them. That’s why I preferred Inter over Juventus. I left Santos now because I have been there for enough time and I learned a lot of things. I did what I felt. Me like Adriano? No, I only want to make my history, without any comparison. Milan? Honestly, people told me that Inter’s main opponents are Juventus.”
