Despite the emergence of talented teenaged left back Senna Miangue in recent weeks, Inter are likely to seek further reinforcements in the forthcoming transfer windows.

After Caner Erkin’s failure to settle in Milan, Frank De Boer has Yuto Nagatomo, Davide Santon, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Cristian Ansaldi as alternatives in the full back department. It would be fair to say none of these players inspire a great deal of confidence and so Piero Ausilio is looking to freshen up this area of the squad.

According to FcInterNews, Bologna’s Adam Masina remains in Inter’s plans and a bid to sign the 22-year-old could be submitted as soon as January. The Italian Under-21 international has been observed by many top clubs in Italy and there is likely to be competition to secure his signature. It would reportedly cost less than €10m to prize him from the Emilia-Romagna club.

Tentative contact was made last summer however, given the uncertainty surrounding the coaching situation, nothing materialised. With Frank De Boer’s arrival, negotiations could be revitalised. The Dutchman is working in sync with Suning’s plans to build a successful team for the future, based around the growth of young talents. The arrival of Masina would strengthen the project, not least because he is Italian.
