Some say no, even to China, believe it or not – Jose Mourinho has done it and claimed so during an interview with the magazine GQ:

“I turned down a big proposal to go coach there. But I do not criticize those who decide to play there, it’s their choice, it is their life. Only they can decide what is best for their life. Some of Premier managers were critical, not me.”

Mourinho in the interview also recognizes that he has opened new doors for Porto: “I changed their life, when I started in 2004, I started to earn my place in the Portuguese football league. now they have had new opportunities and new credibility. They are all over the world, this is my legacy.”

Mourinho is also asked what was his finest triumph: “There are so many that it is difficult to choose. The Champions won with Porto, winning the Premier League with Chelsea after 50 years, and the treble win with Inter, or winning La Liga with Real Madrid after so many years. My career is full of success, but I have a problem: I always think about winning the next trophy. Now I am an icon, recognized by the four corners of the world.”
