Gabriel Barbosa was interviewed by Inter Channel after today’s training session at Appiano Gentile, the first ahead of the away fixture on Sunday against Bologna.

“I’m pleased that I came on against Empoli on Sunday. We played well and we’re delighted we got the three points. I’m continuing to train hard and I’m already thinking about the next match, which is always the most important one.”

Gabigol was then asked about how his adaptation to Italian football is going to which the former Santos player replied: “I’m getting better and better. I feel stronger, faster and more Italian. The understanding between the coach, my team-mates and myself is getting better. I’m getting more and more minutes on the pitch and I’m always trying to train in the right way. The weather in Milano? It’s a little bit cold but I’m very happy here. Everyone is helping me, giving me advice and the fact I’m playing with champions who I’d previously only seen in video games is quite amazing. I’m ecstatic about wearing the Inter shirt.”

In conclusion Gabigol was asked about when he thinks he’ll score his first goal for the Nerazzurri: “It will happen when God wills it to happen. I’m just looking to work and to help the team. I want to thank the fans for everything they’re doing for me.”
