Roberto Mancini’s Inter departure is still a hot talking point. Today the former nerazzurri tactician spoke to Sky Sports about the situation:

“My time at Inter ended badly. We reached a common agreement to terminate my contract because the conditions to work calmly were not there. There was a lot of chaos because the club was in the middle of completing the sale. It was essential to continue to work on our project. We were first place for 20 days and we stayed in the top 4 for almost the entire season. I think that we could have fought with Juventus this season, and if not win the league, finish second at least. It could have been a special year.”

“Inter’s history was made by the Moratti family.  The Zhang family has the economic power to invest in Inter. Losing Fassone was the biggest mistake. He was a guy that Piero [Ausilio] and I always referred to.”
