Javier Zanetti spoke at the sports journalist award ceremony in Lombardy on the future of Inter under Suning as he picked up an award on their behalf: “What does an Argentine do among many Chinese ? I still do not speak Chinese [laughs]. I thank the Zhang family, a group with great human values which saw Inter prospects to do something important in sports and not just something that will remain in history. They are ambitious and hold the history and culture of our club dearly, I hope this will be the first in a long series of awards for them. We are all confident, it will not be easy but we are working hard to have great results, hopefully soon. If Stefano Pioli had arrived at Inter sooner they would be closer in the standings? In hindsight you can say many things. There is respect for Frank de Boer who tried to do the best job possible; Now there Pioli and we are very pleased with his work and his ability. He has extensive experience, we are confident not only for today but also for the future.”
