SempreInter.com’s Inter Player Of The Month: February
The highest rated player of February 2017 is none other than our Slovenian Superhero, Batmanovic.
Samir had a great game to start the month at the J Stadium where Inter were unlucky to come back with nothing. Some great saves to keep us alive and he truly deserved a 7.5 and man of the match. It took a great strike from Cuadrado. He continued his form against Empoli where had to make all of 3 saves and was rated 7. He also got another 7 against Bologna where nobody can forget that save at the end. It could so easily have been a draw if it was someone else. His poorest game was against Roma where like the rest of the team he was helpless against Radja but I thought he could have done better on that penalty.
In 2nd place was Joao Miranda with an average of 6.5. He was rated 6.5 in all of his 3 appearances this month. Its no coincidence that we missed him against Roma. We have only conceded 1 goal (Cuadrado) in his 270 minutes on the pitch in Feburary. That really says it all and proof enough that he is the leader of defense.
Pushing Kondogbia out of the top 3(by a small difference of 0.21) is our pint sized Chilean battler is Gary Medel. He started all 4 games in the center of defence. He had a solid game (6.5) at the J Stadium like his team mates. His best performances came against Empoli where he didnt concede a single foul. He got a 7 against Bologna as well for being basically unbeatable. His worst moment of the month came against Roma and especially Dzeko as he struggled to contain him in the air and that lets just say it.. stupid penalty.
We conceded a goal a game on average this month and yet our defensive stalwarts are in the top 3. Numbers are strange. Do you agree with the results, please let us know in the comments below or over @SempreIntercom on Twitter.
