After he lost his father this was a way to show him that we are close to him”.
Then Icardi continues to talk about the game: “We had been preparing exactly this kind of match knowing how the opponents would play. But even we didn’t expect this many goals. You can always improve (laughing). If it was a red card on Toloi? The referee told me that there was another defender and that it wasn’t a clear chance to score, but I was heading towards the goal all by myself. I scored a bit later on the penalty.”
