Speaking during the radio program ‘Marte Sport Live’, journalist and Sky market expert Gianluca Di Marzio has spoken of Napoli and interest from Inter in Dries Mertens.

“There is thought about it because he is 30 years old and it is right that he decides what is best for his career, financially and professionally. You have the right, to stay or to leave, there is argument on both sides.”

For Aurelio De Laurentiis’ club, regardless of the latest rumors, the Ricardo Rodriguez option does not seem feasible.

“Inter was on a fast track for Rodriguez, but then has not really done anything. The player has a release clause of €22million Wolfsburg will not lower. The problem for Rodriguez is the contract because he earns about €3.5million/year plus bonuses, taking it up to approximately €4.5million. I do not know if Napoli can offer so much to a left-back.”
