Franco Calió, Argentinian journalist, spoke with Tuttomercatoweb about the Argentina National without forgetting the thought of Mauro Icardi and his continued absence from the squad of Bauza:
Among the players not called up by Argentina who now could possibly receive a call up, is also Mauro Icardi on of them?
“Absolutely not. Icardi was called up to the National team only once under Alejandro Sabella, but has played very little. Personally I do not think that he’s the solution to the problems. Icardi is hardly better than Higuain and has not even won trophies in order to even kick up a fuss. The captain of Inter’s worst times and there are players not considered by Bauza that could be much more useful, especially in midfield and defense. With Messi, Dybala and Higuain, Argentina has no room for Icardi in the attack.”
