gabigol

Gabriel Barbosa’s agent Wagner Ribeiro spoke about the huge possibility that his client will leave Inter and go on loan to another club in Europe. In an exclusive interview with Fox Sports Brasil, the agent of the 20-year-old spoke about the situation.

“I just arrived yesterday (April 19) from Italy, I spoke with the staff of Inter and we will resolve. If he does not play now, or better if he has no chance to play, not necessarily as a starter, he will go on loan, “said the agent.

Gabigol has just eight appearances this season in Serie A with only one goal and with clubs such as Sassuolo and Atalanta interested in, it could be a situation where he could leave for another club outside of Italy.

Good player. Whoever agrees with management and coaches about Eder and Palacio starting over him has no clue. You will all cry when he explodes elsewhere like Coutinho did.

Coutinho was 18 when he came to treble winning team. Two coaches trusted him enough to give him playing time in the big important games, Benitez much more, though Leonardo put him in against Bayern if I remember correctly. Gabigol came here at the age of 20 and neither of the coaches have given him about any playing time even in the most unimportant games. Just to compare the two without my “youtube adventures”.
      .
Anyways, it doesn’t matter if Gabigol is a bust or a hit, big fault is on our management. If he sucks they have wasted great amount of money. If he’s really good they have wasted a year of his career(if he’s decent or only good they have wasted a year of his career, but at least he has got big paycheck). I remember FdB being like why the hell this kid came here?

I got to give it to the kid that he hasn’t started bashing Inter at all and tried to be correct while he has been pretty much pissed on. He has to get out of here, straight transfer or loan, because his confidence has been pretty much destroyed. That’s on our bad management. We suck with kids.

Coutinho also lost his self confidence with us and when he did he was only half the player he could have been. Still even at 18 Coutinho showed much more than this guy has. I adored him from the moment he came here. I wouldn’t be pissed if this guy made it, I’d be actually glad for him.

Coutinho for me is a different story. He was so good from the beginnig. He was a match at Espanyol to Iniesta and co. He was so predestined for greatness and our management was just blind with him. For me it’s blasphemy to compare these two players.

Just go leave perminantly even if we loose 5 million
Just a flop to the game
Whoever says pioli should play him, look at galliardini he played him from first minute because he knows how to play
Its not Pioli fault if Gabishit is not playing

Inter have luck when sign brazilian striker adriano, ronaldo. but less luck with signing brazilian RW/LW Coutinho & Mancini. about barbossa, still need time to consider it to fail or not.

    • il Biscione

You could see that Coutinho had almost the same skill as Messi when we signed him. He was just a bit shy and weak, but the huge potential was there. I was so happy we had signed him. Same goes for Gabriel Jesus, he has mad technique. I just don’t see that huge potential in Gabigol. I might be wrong too, but I just don’t see it. Mancini had already seen his best days when we signed him.

      • Playmaker

from the youtube and some couple minutes with inter, his way playing is just play simple passes and some tricky and first touches, his shoot was weak and the dribling also. nothing special.
but let’s hope for the best, and still need time to consider it to fail transfer or not.

        • il Biscione

He could make a leap of quality in all areas of his game, but atm it just looks bad. A player that looks crap on youtube, but is great in real life? That’s a first for me.

  • Musavie Abdillah

“not necessarily as a starter” <~ this guy already beg. Shame Pioli couldn't give him space. If he play him, at least it can give false hope to the fans that Pioli believes in youngster… haha

    • sleimani

THE guy is a headless chicken worse than robinho… why do you think everybody ran for gabi Jesus but nobody went for gabi gol? Overrated looks better in international/Brazil league w no defense… from what I’ve seen im not impressed. Good dribbling technique doesn’t make you a star player… just ask Zarate.

Send him to Atalanta so he learns how to play football.

      • Inter4ever

Pretty sure you haven’t seen him play more than 90 minutes in your life.

        • il Biscione

Lol. I haven’t seen his whole games at Brazil either, but I’ve seen lots of those youtube videos people compile. Those ones where they show players every touch during one game are best, but still not enough because they’re biased at least because 1) They only upload good games 2) You can’t see players positioning, defending etc.

I can’t condemn him as shit by youtube videos and what we have seen from him here at Inter, but one thing is really worrying: why does he seem shit on those freaking youtube videos? Usually those videos are biased to other direction meaning they make player look better than he is, not shittier. I know he has poaching skills and whatever, but I’m not impressed at all. He even 99% of the time doesn’t dribble past his opponent on the wing, just passes back to defender. What kind of a winger is that?

          • Inter4ever

He made the cut for the national team with all those talents. The YouTube videos would never do him justice, because a lot of teams wanted him and Gabriel Jesus.

I’ll judge him from the 70 minutes he player, which was average. Not at all terrible and definitely not worse than Palacio or Biabiany.

          • il Biscione

Should never judge a player complitely by those videos, but he played against Gagliari exactly the same I’ve seen on those videos – as you said average. No penetration from the wing, not really creative, quite accurate but weak shots. So what am I missing here? What makes him so great?

          • il Biscione

Being as good as Palacio or Biabiany doesn’t scream great player. At least Biabiany can beat a player in 1 on 1.

          • Inter4ever

How can we expect a player to preform when he can’t play? We can’t judge a player from coming out of a bench for twenty minutes. I saw some technical ability, he can play with both feet and has some good positioning on the wing and inside the box.

No, being better than Palacio and Biabiany is nothing grand, what I meant by that, he deserves to be ahead in the pecking order.

          • il Biscione

I just see him as bidone material. Inter have protected him probably by not playing him. You know how fast we turn on a player if he’s not good enough. That and him not just not being good enough right now are the most logical explanations of not playing him. You remember that suning was pretty much demanding FdB that he should play.

But again he’s only almost 21 and could turn out to be a star. If that happens you can remind me deservedly everytime you want about my bad judgement. But I stand by what I have said, I don’t see the huge potential in him.

      • il Biscione

Zarate is much better dribbler than Gabigol, don’t mock Zarate. Gabi doesn’t dribble, he does little first touch tricks that can be generously counted as “dribbles”.

  • Amin Sadrnejad

    What a shame

    • sleimani

What a name in gabigol… who does he think he is batistuta?

      • Amin Sadrnejad

But is he that bad not to get ANY chance?!

        • Inter4ever

He has 70 minutes of actual game time in Seria A and one goal.

          That’s pretty damn good IMO.

          • Amin Sadrnejad

I think there is something behind the scene which is not revealed, like something with his agent or a clause in his contract. Because it doesn’t make ANY sense when Biabiany gets a chance in derby but he doesn’t.

          • il Biscione

You might be on to something, there certainly might be a clause. Playing Bia I kind of understand but playing Palacio in games that have been won ahead of Gabigol is just weird.

          • harendro

Palacio earn big salary..maybe they want him to at least sweat his jersey..
