Roberto Gagliardini: “We have to do more for our supporters”
Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini was interviewed by Premium Sport after yet another defeat for the Nerazzurri, this time at home against Napoli.
“It was a different match, we tried to play our game and we managed to then we conceeded and in the second half they played like we did in the 1st half, very closed and compact ready to pounce on the counter attack” Gagliardini explained tonight’s defeat.
The young Nerazzurri midfielder was asked what happened to the team after the 7-1 thrashing against Atalanta as Inter’s poor form started the following match: “We’ve had a very poor month, but we’ve looked to remain united and to work well during the week. Our fans support us and we have to do more for them. My ankle is fine, for a player like myself I need one and a half week to recover my full lucidity.”
“We had some difficulty against Fiorentina when pressing, today we played our game and then the match changed due to a mistake, which can happen. Atalanta? I was sure they were going to do well, but I didn’t think I would find myself in this position [of being behind Atalanta in the Serie A]. But now we have to play these final four matches as if our lives depended on it.”
