Sunday’s fixture between Inter and Sassuolo could be the last time that Domenico Berardi faces Inter on the opposing team for quite some time. Gazzetta di Modena understand that the wingers future has practically already been decided and a formal announcement is all that is required. Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio could be with his Sassuolo counterpart Giovanni Carnevali at the negotiation table in around two weeks to try to strike a deal. The Neroverdi would like 50 million euros for his services while Inter have offered 30 million. The Nerazzurri hope that they are coming close and believe they could secure him for 35 million. Despite his sacking last night, it is understood that Stefano Pioli had given the green light to the move for the 22 year old and moreover, Berardi’s profile fits Inter’s project. Berardi could soon call time on his seven year spell at the MAPEI Stadium and become the cornerstone of the Inter team for years to come.
