Stefano Vecchi commenced his duties as caretaker manager of Inter for the second time this season at Appiano Gentile today after Stefano Pioli was relieved of his duties last night after Inter tasted their fifth defeat in seven despite a good start.

Sky Sport Italia detail how Inter’s current primavera coach was joined by his assistant Luca Facchetti, son of Inter legend Giacinto, in directing the training session at the Suning Sporting Centre in Appiano Gentile held earlier today.

Stefano Vecchi took charge of Inter for two games in between the hiring of Stefano Pioli in December after the sacking of Frank de Boer during which Inter lost against Southampton in the Europa League and beat Crotone in the Serie A. Vecchi will take charge of the Nerazzurri’s three remaining Serie A fixtures, starting with the lunch time fixture against Sassuolo at the San Siro on Sunday before travelling to the Italian capital to face Lazio followed by a final home fixture against Udinese to conclude the season.
