Interim manager Stefano Vecchi’s 2nd stint at Inter’s sidelined didn’t get a much fruitful start as the side scrambled to a 2-1 defeat at home against Sassuolo. Vecchi after the match tried to address the issues:

“There is a negative environment surrounding the club which is also affecting the performance in the field. Today we have done very elementary mistakes and have been punished for that. Boys tried to equalize but our own futility didn’t let it happen. There might have been a penalty and offside goal but we just can’t cry about this”

“It is clearly evident that it isn’t Pioli’s fault. He worked very hard and tried to simulate things off the field. In the field I can not do anything for the guys but if we train hard enough then we can certainly achieve our goal.”
