Speaking with BBCChris Sutton, a former Chelsea player, spoke about the future of the Italian manager and Inter target, Antonio Conte:

“The only way I see Conte leaving is if he does not get the players that he wants this summer. I don’t think he will prioritise the Champions League because he will want to win everything, but I expect him to go really hard at it.”

For those who wish he join us, what about Moggi?! If he can get us back on track… Stop it guys!

    • casperv

Well, not really fair to compare with a convicted criminal, right? Besides Moggi was banned for life to work in football in Italy so…

      • Amin Sadrnejad

It was just an example, just imagine it! What about Agnelli as our president?!

        • casperv

Hmm.. The Agnelli family have been running the Juventus club for years – since 1923 according to Wiki 🙂 So, that wouldn’t make sense.. Besides, I think Johan Elkann is the president and the Agnelli family the owners… Just saying.

          • Amin Sadrnejad

I know that is impossible, I’m just making examples to clarify how shameful it is to wish someone who spent almost his whole career at Rube as our coach

          • casperv

Okay okay.. well, we once to in Lippi – a man detached to Juve and that didn’t go well either. On the other hand Juve has one of their best players from our academy; Bonucci!

  • VieriTottiDelpiero

Please be realistic. Conte is not joining us because: (1) Inter is not competing in Europe next year, so ambitious coaches like Conte or Mourinho won’t join us, (2) Chelsea will keep him at any cost, (3) Chelsea will offer significant transfer budget because Conte knows that without making several key transfers, Chelsea will fall next season. I think Chelsea will sign some players who replace Terry, Cahill and Pedro.

  • Despite his past at Rube, I’d like to see Conte at Inter, but why would he bloody leave Chelsea for us? He still has an UCL season ahead of him with the Blues…

    • casperv

      He won’t…

  • casperv

Yes yes, he was just a dream – just like Simeone… we should simply go for either Jardim who has showed flexiblety at every club he´s been plus he was born in Venusuela so maybe he knows Spanish which will help him comunicating in Italy, or Spalletti who will be ready to make us qualify for CL right away…

  • Zselic

and the only way i see him not getting the players he wants is that Chelsea goes bankrupt

    • Boudou

Which is impossible. On the contrary, I feel like Abramovitch will give him a huge budget to recruit.
I dont know why we’re wasting time on this. Smh

      • Zselic

and if he really wants Nainggolan and Manolas at Chelsea, he will get them, thats why i dont know why we’re trying to chase them. they didnt win shit in Roma -and lets be real, they have more potential than Inter lately-, there is absolutely no way they want to come and play for us (and no, “money talks” is bullshit, we cant compete with EPL teams when it comes to salary)

        ps: that Matic/Fabregas-Kante-Nainggolan midfield…man

        • casperv

Nainggolan has already once rejected moves to England so maybe he simply loves Italy so much he´d be ready to join Inter, for the right salary of course and if Spalletti comes with him maybe he could be persuaded to come along. I mean he has spent many years at Roma with out wining anything, so maube he´d be ready to give the project of Suning a chance…

          • Zselic

what i read is that he doesnt want to leave Rome (he loves the city), but he is wasting his talent, he has become one of the best CM in the world, if he wants to win any trophies, he needs to move on

          • casperv

True, but the only team he would like to join would be Inter! Juve is trying for him, but he has started officially that he “hates Juventus”.

          • Zselic

well if he really wants to join us, that would explain (altho i didnt hear about this), but from a logical point of view, i cant see Inter being more attractive than a current top club

          • casperv
        • casperv

About Manolas – the cultural factor could help us; he´s greek and speaks Italian but would struggle in England I guess both when it comes to their culture and langue – besides; why change from a league where you are well known and considered one of the best to join a league where no one knows you?

          • Zselic

okay, but then why leave Roma for Inter right now? as an outsider, all they can see Inter is a madhouse where not even the janitor knows what to do

btw, as far as i know Manolas is wanted by Barcelona, City, United and Chelsea aswell. he surely becoming “known” 🙂

          • casperv

Because everyone in Italy knows that Inter is owned by one of the biggest and richest companies in Asia. They know that Napoli and Roma won’t ever reach the level on Juve but Inter, with all they spending power might do!
Besides, the changes in the management is there for everyone to see: Suning is getting strong, well known directors on board these days and a man like Sabatini is well liked by all the Roma players incl. Manolas and Nainggolan.
The chois is this: to stay at Roma and fight for 2nd with a new unknown coach, or leave and join the club in Italy with the most interesting project for the future; INTER!

          • Zselic

i agree, we can have a good/better FUTURE, but for example Nainggolan being 29 years old, he cant waste the best years of his football years for another project (i consider Roma a project aswell with the american owner, their new stadium is already in the works). thats why i say IF he leaves Roma, he will do that for a currently better club

          • casperv

Roma is still a selling club, they sell good players in order to buy younger ones… they made a lot on the two young Italians they sold 1-2 years ago who joined Juve and Milan or was it two to Milan (midfielder and Defender).
The American owner is not a suggardaddy like Moratti was and Suning will be.
He has done will in making Roma self sustainable like a modern club should be, and with the new stadium they surely will be BUT there are many years until it will be build and ready to use…
But they need to ably to the FFP in the end of June just like us so they need to sell to balance the books, and after that they won’t have much money to spend except what they make from player sales. They have been linked to a lot of young midfielders lately – maybe they’re playing a post-Nainggolan period.

        • Boudou

          Totally agree !

          • casperv

Don’t be so negative ; Hope is the only thing we fans have 🙂

      • casperv

Do you know which langues Jardim speaks? I consider you to know the most about Jardim because you are French and have been following much longer than any of us on this site.
I read he was born in Venezuela so I guess he should speak some Spanich or?

        • Zselic

the new manager has to speak japanese, so that nagatomo could finally understand “get the fuck out”

          • casperv

            hehe… good one 😉

        • Boudou

Since his first year in France, he has been trying to speak in French but with a thick Portuguese accent. He did make some progress over the years but still has a thick accent and it is sometimes hard to understand what he’s saying during press conference.
In fact, he was made fun of a lot in the beginning here because people did not know him, his accent and his boring style of play, he became an easy target.
On top of that, France has a big immigrant community from Portugal whom mostly work in construction. There were a lot of jokes made about that… Sport journalists on Tv were making analogies about portuguese immigrant working in construction and Jardim building a wall in front of his keeper… To be honest, even I fell for it and, until this year, I thought he was a cheap Mourinho who only knew how to park the bus.
Despite all that, he never fell under pressure and did his job without fuss. He is very much respected here now and, in fact, just two days ago, he was awarded the coach of the year award after being looked over last year when many people thought he should have won it too.

          • casperv

Great to get so much “inside information” from someone who actually have seen him work as a coach and have been following him – thanks a lot my friend!
He could be a very interesting coach, the only thing I can think of that could course him to fail is his langue skills and time to adjust.
The morons we call our players all admitted that FDB was sacked also duo to not being able to communicate with his Italian-/Spanish speaking players. And time won’t be on any new manager’s side, because reaching top 4 next year will be CRUCIAL!!

  • Inter DiHati

Conte to Inter = not gonna happen even if hell is freezing… don’t waste our time on something impossible… focus on our defensive line and how to whack those lazy players + all the lords who don’t want to leave the free vacation with us!

  • harendro

Buy Rano and Candreva and also break the bank for Perisic Antonio.
