Mundo Deportivo reports that Javier Zanetti was in Spain to meet with Diego Simeone. During the meeting, Zanetti reassured Simeone that he was Inter’s first choice as manager for next season.
PSG was also very interested in hiring Simeone as they seek to part ways with Emery.
A new bargaining chip may be in place for Inter though as Andrea Berta is now the Sporting Director of Atletico Madrid. Berta is a close ally of Inter and could help shape Simeone’s decision to manager Inter rather than PSG.
