Antonio Conte will soon meet with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to find out of his demands will be met. Corriere dello Sport report that Inter’s number one managerial target wishes to be granted 3 or 4 big name signings to enable his Chelsea side to be competitive straight away in the Champions League. The Blues are quietly confident that Conte will remain as part of the project at Stamford Bridge having led them to the Premier League title and being in the running for a possible double with an FA Cup final coming soon. Inter are however hopeful that Conte will make the move to Milan.
After the rejections from Diego Simeone and Mauricio Pochettino, it is just Conte and Roma’s Luciano Spalletti remaining in the race to become the next man to lead Inter. Spalletti is contracted with Roma until the end of the season and there is absolutely nothing to suggest that the former Zenit manager is going to still be there next season and beyond.
