Did you expect a Lazio like this tonight? “If you look at the standings, this victory doesn’t mean much. But for us it was important to turn things around. We did that by showing moral and being proud, today I saw a team that gave everything. Every player gave 100% and never gave up. I am really happy with this win against a Lazio that has done so well this season”.
There has been a lot of talk about who will leave, who do you think is untouchable? “This season has told us a lot: In certain period Inter was the best team in the world, in others the worst. It’s important to address the problems that have caused this season to go as it went. But tonight I saw everything giving their best for the jersey. The players on the pitch tonight represents an excellent foundation for the next year”.
Can you confirm that a new three-year contract is on the table? “Yes, but for the Primavera though. But I’m talking to the club at the moment. The management believes in me, but now I just want to finish the contract negotiations”.
How come Gabigol didn’t get any playing time today? “He could have found a spot on the pitch tonight but hen I had to make some other choices because Eder wanted to get substituted and I opted for a midfielder. As prima punta I think Pinamonti is better than Gabigol, I made a tactical choice”.
