In an interview made to Corriere Dello Sport, former Inter captain Beppe Bergomi has given all the credits to Luciano Spalletti, saying that he is the “number one coach” to coach the club.
“At Roma, he did not win the Scudetto, but found himself in a position to go above the great Inter side and challenge Juventus, which is always hard to do,” said Bergomi. “Mancini and Mourinho at Inter had a great team, but with Spalleti, he will develop the players at his disposal as he did with Nainggolan, Emerson Palmieri, Rüdiger, and Fazio.”
