Di Maria to Inter next season seems to be a done deal. A lot of Italian newspapers confirms this today, Corriere dello Sport is one example and explains what is to come: “PSG wants this deal and the two clubs are working on a deal that would send Perisic to Paris and Di Maria the opposite way. There is still a difference when it comes to the prize, Inter wants 60 million euros, PSG is willing to pay 45”.
But the main issue is the salary where Di Maria is asking 10 million of euros per season: “Inter has to resolve how to pay Di Maria who currently gets 18 million of euros per season in PSG. Maybe a solution where the inital salary is lower and gets increased at the end of his contract is possible. This would mean that Di Maria would be the highest paid Inter player with approximately 6-6.5 million of euros. According to the contract signed last year, the current highest paid Inter player is Mauro Icardi with 4.85 million of euros”.
