After the 5-2 win against Udinese, Stefano Vecchi analysed the game when speaking with Inter Channel: “Yesterday I was convinced that a majority of the group had worked well this week, especially the players that would start. We had some problems with how to play in defence, and I want to thank Gary Medel who managed to start the game. But I repeat: during this week I only saw positive things”.

Palacio performed well tonight? “It’s in his DNA, he always gives his best for the team. I told him to stay high and not go back, but he just kept chasing his opponents.”

Nine points in four games with Vecchi as a coach “Ah, but they don’t count. We failed to reach the main objective of the season. But I am happy with how we finished the season and I have to thank the staff and the club for believing in me.”

What are your personal reflections of this season, coaching both the Primavera team and the Serie A team? “That I probably aged a couple of years (laughing). There have been a lot of engagements and we have handled this as professionals. I want to thank the players who made me look good. Now I have to finish my work with the Primavera”.
