Called up by CT Luigi Di Biagio in preparation for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, Andrea Pinamonti expressed his joy via the FIGC’s official site:
“It was a great emotion for me. I was already under age with the Under-19s and I felt important, but here it’s very special. I am living a magical moment. I am bearing the fruit of my sacrifices and I want to thank Di Biagio for the trust he has placed in me. I dreamed of wearing this shirt, but I realise this is a mere starting point. I must treasure these moments. I always try to train with stronger and more experienced players in order to improve, to grow, and this is what I will do here.”
