On loan Inter striker Samuele Longo and his Spanish Segunda Division side Girona have managed to gain promotion to La Liga for the first time in the club’s history.
This historic event occured after Girona played a goalless draw against Real Zaragoza which meant that the club joins Levante in playing in the Primera Division 2017/2018. Longo has been ever present this season for Girona becoming the club’s top scorer in the process with 14 goals in the Segunda Division.
