Marco Verratti spoke with RAI Sport about the decisive game between Italy and Spain on September 2nd in order to secure a direct place ibn next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder gave away few clues regarding his future amidst rampant transfer speculations stating that: “I’m lucky because the Ligue 1 starts on August 4th, so in September I will already have a few competitive games in me. This comes from the league’s decisions, I don’t know what will happen. I think that when you are in a World Cup year, you would like to pay more attention to the national teams schedule’s because every Italian will follow these matches. I think they will find an agreement, but these are decisions I can’t affect, although Giampiero Ventura was very nice when asking me. Either way I will accept his decision and we will be ready” Verratti concluded.
