Inter are working on closing the deal for Borja Valero by Thursday, when they will leave for their pre-season retreat at Brunico Gianluca Di Marzio reports. The Nerazzurri’s latest offer consists of €5 million plus bonuses and they are optimistic that they can complete the deal by Thursday. Their optimism stems from the heightening tensions between Fiorentina and the Spaniard. Moreover, the 32 year old will speak with the Viola leadership to reiterate his desire to move to Inter despite his deep affiliation with the city of Florence.
Furthermore, Inter are working on extending the contract of veteran goalkeeper Tomasso Berni. The 34 year old’s contract expired at the end of last month but it would appear that Inter wish to keep him on their books as the third keeper.
