Luciano Spalletti was bombarded by media at the Malpensa airport in Milano after Inter’s International Champions Cup triumph in Singapore.

Spalletti began: “Let’s get back to work. We’re happy with the attitude of the team during the tournament. We were well-organized.”

“We were not in the best physical form but the most important thing was that nobody was injured at any point. Playing these games is not easy. We look at the result and our performances and we’re happy.”

“This tournament brought out a lot of good from the entire team. We played like a team, played well under pressure, controlled the ball and made some great goals,” Spalletti said when asked about how the ICC went in retrospect.

On Stevan Jovetic’s future, Spalletti said: “In my opinion, we have to deal with the best players. We’re going to have a difficult time in Serie A without good players. All the current Inter players can remain- it’s the players’ intentions that will see them in or out of the squad.”

Spalletti finished with reporters by saying: “These Inter players want to work harder than they ever have and take bigger risks than they’ve ever taken.”
