Inter will play their last friendly today in Lecce against Spanish side Real Betis who still enjoys their 2-1 win against AC Milan. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Matias Vecino could start next to Roberto Gagliardini with Borja Valero/Joao Mario as trequartista. As left fullback we are most likely to see Cristian Ansaldi. Today’s game means also important playing time for Mauro Icardi and Dalbert. Out is the punished Kondogbia and also Nagatomo, Pinamonti and Santon.

Here is the probable starting formation:

INTER (4-2-3-1): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, Skriniar, Miranda, Ansaldi; Gagliardini, Vecino; Candreva, Borja Valero, Perisic; Icardi.

BETIS (4-3-3): Gimenez; Barragan, Mandi, Feddal, Tosca; Camarasa, De la Hoz, Guardado; Loren, Leon, Nahuel

  • Alex

You guys were so busy with watching Vecino and Dalbert that you completely missed to spot Gagliardini. Don’t remember a good game from him for months, but he was a beast in this game. Assisting Borja to win the physical battle in the middle.

He’s more focused now because now he knows that his spot is not guaranteed with the arrival of Vacino. So that would make 24m we spent on Vecino completely worth it. Although Vecino is not bad himself, but I just see a big potential in Roberto Gagliardini.. He can be the next Marchisio/De Rossi for Italy…

  • jemi

Vecino Valero bettet than most inter midfield last season except Mario.. Huh

  • Stefano

I feel one more friendly ,just a couple days before the beginning of the season ,would only help us…but Spalletti knows more than I.

  • Stefano

    Couldn’t watch it.
    How did Vecino do?
He always looked so mediocre to me, I hope he makes me wrong.
I don’t care about Dalbert yet, I know he is the kind of player who needs a few weeks to start doing his thing.
But Vecino should assimilate fast, was he ok?

    • Hermès

saw it for about 15 miins,I could say he was alright

    • Giuseppe Meazza

Great, calm on the ball, both footed, tenacious, perfect complement to Borja

    • dudd

He was one of the 3 best. For me he played like a boss.
He was great defensively too with many balls recovered…

      • Stefano

        Happy to hear it.

  • ADRIANO158

Kondogbia is the only player who scored against us. (When serious matches started).

  • Hermès

    Solid outing,clean sheet.

  • A. Zanetti

Now Bilan fans can shut the fuck up.
Betis defeated their 200 million euros mercenary squad several days ago.

    • Stefano

      By several you mean two?
      It was on Thursday

      • Naves

They played 3 games in 6 days lol

  • Naves

Real betis is such a physical and aggressive side so no surprises that they have not allowed Inter to play their game. There are still much improvements needed passing under pressure but we are better than Bilan in this regard as I watched both matches and they were simply clueless.

  • Boudou

Well despite tonight’s boring game that we still won tho, it was a much better preseason compared to last year. Hopefully it will be a great season too.
We need backup in defense and a DM before the end of the mercato. Forza Inter!

    • Naves

Thought we bought vecino for that Dm role.

      • Boudou

I dk really know him and he didn’t impress me tonight, but I thought he is more like a box-to-box. I might be wrong tho

        • Naves

There is no Dm in Spalleti formation unless you consider De Rossi as Dm who is equally good in attacking phase. He will fill his role for harassing and starting quick counter whenever possible or pass to more capable player (borja).

  • Vidal_inter

    our worst pre-season match!

  • A. Zanetti

It’s funny to read news that we are planning to get Betis defender German Pezzela. But he is nowhere to be found in this friendly game against us. So our scouts will observe this guy cuddling in the bench?

    • Stefano

Maybe that’s the exact reason why he didn’t play.
Inter observers already know him, and Zanetti has been suggesting his name for a long time, even in the summer of last year.

    • Vidyan I. Banizian

ever heard of milan skriniar ?pr just be honest ever heard of borja valero ? that’s your inter scout right there

      • A. Zanetti

Dude, FYI I’ve been following Borja since his days at Villareal.
Skriniar is a serie-a newcomer last year, even Samp paid only 1 million euros for his card. No one expected that he will rise quickly and ended up at Inter.

Yeah… just let’s just cross our fingers that this time our scouts are doing their job properly. Because since the last two consecutive years we have been burning almost 70 million euros for ‘talented’ bench warmers like Kondogbia and Gabigone.

  • interistaaaaaa

Skriniar passes better than most of our mids under pressure, let that sink in.

    • Vidal_inter

100 % fact …if he continues like that…he could play as a defensive midfield in a few years

    • postal

He had the best stats for passing among all defenders last season if I’m not mistaken. Probably part of the reason Spalletti wanted him.

  • Vidal_inter

mor probably needs more time than gabriel to adabt…gabriel is still trash…no improvement …he must be loaned to a serie a team

  • Vidal_inter

    GOAAAAL

  • FCINTER

To be honest, the game is a bit boring, but I expected it as such. After all, this is the last friendly.

  • Vidal_inter

You know what’s wrong with gabriel barbosa?? He can easily become gabiassist but he prefers to be gabigoal…so he goes fully selfish and waste the chances

    • A. Zanetti

He cares his facial hair more than making assists or goals for sure.
20 years dude with 30 million euros fancy facial hair.

    • Stefano

The thing that’s wrong with Gabi’s that he is not an Inter player.
5 coaches out of 5 confirm.
Hope some dumb British thinks he can pull a coutinho with him and give us some cash, or he is just another naga or rano for us.

  • Antonio

Whilst we are playing like shit, Betis haven’t really done much going forward. They are just passing it around the middle, then shooting from far out. This second half is better in terms our passing.

Dalbert didn’t get off to a flying start like we all wanted, and it seemed like the team didn’t use the left hand side at all really. Don’t know if Spalletti just wanted him to stay back and play calmly, therefore eleminating him going forward.

The possession is an issue, but it is a spanish team so should expect this style of build up play.

  • JAY

here we go gabi and jojo, let the fun start !

    • Pick

      No fun

  • JAY

    maldini is that you?

  • ezekiel

like jay said earlier.. dalbert so far don’t impress me so much.. but i won’t judge him for now..

  • ezekiel

    forza borja..^^

  • ezekiel

perisic just did a guarin kick.. LOL

    • JAY

      that player was an ass

  • Antonio

If this passes as a professional pitch, then I am willing to rent out my garden once a week for a nice sum of money

    • Dani Milekić

If we offered a nice sum of money we wouldn’t be playing in this jungle. Probably just paid the rent with a pack of Cheerios and 20$. It’s preseason friendly anyway right? xD

  • ezekiel

    we play with 4-3-3!?

    • ezekiel

looks like valero play as AM now

    • Antonio

I think Valero has pushed up to replace J.Mario

      • ezekiel

yeah.. i see that too.. ^^

    • Pick

      4231 all time

  • ezekiel

gagliardini have a small “discussion” with d’ambrosio

  • ezekiel

icardi out already!? maybe he’s not in good condition..

    • Sliemen

Euhm.. Maybe because this is his second game in like 2 months? Did you really expect him to play the full 90 mins lol

      • ezekiel

nope.. but i don’t expect him to play just 45 minute.. i thought we would be sub at 55 or 60 min..

    • JAY

goto travel soon he just kicked higuain out of the national side

  • A. Zanetti

Guys, don’t be too harsh, we’re still leading against Betis. Considering we are playing against the same team who defeated our 200 million euros cousin few days ago and the pitch is pretty bad ass slippery. Just relax. To me, a close win or maybe a draw is still acceptable, as long as no one got injured in this friendly game.

    • JAY

our team is not cheaper than their

  • igo

wow, if valero gets injured, we’ll be screwed

    • Boudou

      We’ll be brozobitched

  • DonTuliosS Interista

say what you want guys , but except for that goal ,Icardi didn’t show anything.
Eder in my opinion helps the team much more, he can dribble past a player he helps the midfield he can shoot outside the box.
i know he was injured and he just came back after a few months but we play better as a team with Eder.
    but anyway forza inter

    • ezekiel

we should try eder or jojo in 2nd half if icardi doesn’t work for betis defence

      • DonTuliosS Interista

agreed 100% and i would like to se jojo, perisic and eder in the 2nd half

      • Alex

And how did that work for you guys? I really don’t get the ICardi hate? You guys want the striker to make up for our midfield limitation. Icardi is a jewel, he will leave and all of you guys will regret that..

        • ezekiel

where did you see i hate on icardi in my comments!? what i mean was we should try different type of striker if icardi didn’t work in 2nd half.. and icardi just comeback from injuries, do you think he can play for 90 minute!? this is just a friendly match.. we should try all option out there, and work with it..

          • Alex

Playing Eder as a backup striker is not the issue… You guys supported this guys comment about starting Eder ahead of Icardi…
That’s just disrespectful to Icardi. He played two 45 minutes, while being injured the whole preseason, already, 1 assist and 1 goal, and you guys disrespect him like that?

All I care about is the 3 points, so if Icardi’s role is converting 1 chance for us every game, that suffices for me.

          • ezekiel

just because we upvote one comment doesn’t mean we agree 100 % with the comments.. but the comments make sense in certain degree.. icardi looks sluggish in this game.. we need to make some change.. doesn’t matter if it would work or not, at least we try already.. and a friendly games are the best opportunity to test all our option. and sorry no golden boy for me in this team.. everybody deserve their chance. the team should be above a player..

          • Alex

The team is beyond the players for me to want our 24 year old 100mil strarlet to start over 10mil 30 year old squad player. You saw that we played no better on the second half. The quality of the pitch, plus the retardation of Danilo Dumbo are the main two reasons.

          • ezekiel

who know what would happen right!? i mean my comment was in first half.. like i said before, it’s worth to try whatever the result.. we have 3 different character of striker. if one didn’t work we should try another one.. better than did nothing right!? like i said it’s friendly we should explore our option. ^^

    • Eusebio

You basically described a second striker, which Eder is better at but he’s not a better lone striker.

      • DonTuliosS Interista

i’m describing a team that plays better with a player named Eder, with icardi we are limited and you know it bro.
No hard feelings but we were like that with ibra ,it was always pass it to ibra and he did something , but with icardi….. he just dosen’t do it for me.
        forza Inter

        • Dani Milekić

Ibrahimovic is a presence in the box with technical and shooting prowess of a playmaker. Icardi as good as he is, is just a poacher. Never takes players on, rarely shoots outside of the box and even if his passing has improved a bit he still has ways to go.

        • Eusebio

No I don’t agree with your point so I don’t know it bro… But that’s fine, it’s your opinion not mine.

          • DonTuliosS Interista

no problem, you don’t have to.
            forza Inter

      • Justin ooooo

Icardi is world class at what he does, receive a pass in the box and score, outside of that he’s limited, but in our system we need someone up front constantly to rely on and he’s perfect for that

    • Dani Milekić

It’s classic Icardi. Always been like that. He only plays in the box.

    • JAY

pick on someone else, icardi just kicked out 90m higuain from the national side to become a lone striker for argentina

      • Octo

He still needs to close the Argentina door in Aguero’s face for good. But this is real progress in his international career so I’m optimistic his time is coming

    • Naidman

I don’t think there could ever be an Eder-Icardi comparison. The latter has always been a much better striker. Eder has never ever scored 15 goals in a season, something we all know Icardi guarantees by just ‘sitting around in the box’. He also offers a better outlet for assists than Eder despite all the criticism he gets for having ‘a shoot first mentality’.

While I do appreciate the hustle Eder brings to the game and yes he helps more with building up the play but don’t think any team in their right mind will take out Icardi unless he isn’t fit for Eder.

Icardi is a guarantee for goals and that is exactly what we need in our main striker.

In fact if we do end up getting Schick I would rather we lose Eder that Jovetic who I think actually is more of ‘an ace up the sleeve’ due to the unpredictable nature of his runs and ability to bring something very different off the bench.

    • Fez Faisal H

Nonesense, icardi just came back from injury

    • Herak Bhowmik

Icardi gives u 25 goals. Eder won’t give u that many goals.

      • Stefano

        He could.
As a starting 9+ taking pk. .he would.
When he came to us he was leading serie A scoring, playing as a winger in Samp.

      • DonTuliosS Interista

nobody has used Eder in Inter as a no.9!
Because nobody had the balls to do it.
Thank God we have spalletti who doesen’t give a fuck about noone and i’m quite sure that if he managed to bench totti than who the f**k is icardi compared to Totti.Sorry for my language.
        Anyway forza Inter

        • GoInter

          Agree brooooo

        • Herak Bhowmik

Icardi also had 8-9 assists in previous season. if a striker can score 25 goals and provide 10 assists, what mpre can we expect?

    • Enes Aliu

Couldn’t have said it better bro.

Some people here just love Icardi too much to see the reality. We always had better games without him. Remember the big games with Mancini when he kept him in the bench.

We were so much better because the defense wouldn’t focus on one player only. Icardi is just too predictable, everyone knows he will only sit in the penalty box and wait for some crosses to score.

While he’s not that tall or strong physically to boss the penalty box. He disappears in the majority of the matches because of that. The Juventus game last season per example was great for Icardi and Inter at the same time because he actually tried playing outside of the box and that got the best out of him and our team.

We need some nr.9 like Ibra,Milito. Icardi is just another version of Inzagi. You can’t built a team around an attacker like him. But hopefully he will change and see that he has to adapt or Spalleti will show him the bench.

If Schick comes I have really high hopes for him. He’s a really completed attacker but it remains to see if he will perform properly with us !

    • GoInter

      Well said brooooo

    • A. Zanetti

That’s why Spalletti asked Sabatini to get Schick who will complement Icardi. Spalletti had already identified that Icardi is a predator in the box, but very limited outside the box especially with no support from the second line. Schick will fill that role and form mutual partnership with Icardi. They remind me of Eto’o – Milito and Bobo – R9 duet. IMHO, if we can get Schick and a solid RB in the next two weeks, we are officially in for scudetto race. Hopefully.

Yes Eder is a better team player, useful backup and indeed we still need him. He reminds me of Julio Cruz who always come in to break a deadlock. But still, Eder is not an A-class player who can make big difference in every game like Milito or Zlatan. I would say we must keep Eder at least this season if we’re serious about challenging CL spots.

  • Vidal_inter

nice to seee inter can actually beat betis …villareal…bayern …chelsea ….lyon…u name it

  • JAY

interistas please keep in mind we always had bad Lbs only BREME was good, this dalbert guy made my body numb

    • Inter 2010

Chivu was also good, nagatomo was good in the beginning

      • JAY

chivu was not good in lb, he was our week point, chivu is a cb naturally, even roberto carlos was bad for us

      • Dani Milekić

Zanetti covered well at LB too.

      • JAY

nagatomo was good said none ever

    • Naves

Maxwell was good as well compared to pre 2010 Lbs.

      • JAY

        average

    • Hanindito Prasojo

i’m just happy he got the minute and adapting to his new surrounding and didn’t get injured in this badly slippery pitch’s friendly match.. he can “explode” all he want in his first match against Fio & Roma.. stop judging people only by one match, even Perisic need a whole year to actually “explode” with this team.. stop being the typical inter fans JAY LOL

  • Naves

Too early to judge but that Vecino guy is no where to be seen. Even Kdog the useless had more influence on the game. Expecting better from him but hopefully he will improve over time.

    • JAY

no one expected him to be more than averege , he is just so we can fill the starting

      • Naves

I think he needs to adjusts to spalleti system to make a difference. Right now he is out of sort and he is not a flashy kind of player like Kovacic for example.

    • Eusebio

If you consider losing balls and own goals having more influence then sure…

      • Naves

I didnt said positive influence so yes you are right he steal the spotlight with his comics lol but seriously this vecino guy is so quiet for his role. He came to be our engine in the midfield that is why I am complaining.

    • JAY

we need kondogbia, said no one ever !

    • solointer

Kondo is a physical players but he lacks simple passing skills. It’s too early to really judge Vecino but so far I can see that he’s good at positioning.

      • Eusebio

That’s what kills me about Kdog he can’t make simple passes… Besides tackling and dribbling, Kdog can’t do anything else properly.

      • Naves

Kondo passing skills are not issue but his chicken mentality . And I consider vecino squad or team player nothing more than that and adjusting to the atmosphere at Inter will work for him.

        • solointer

Hopefully he will prove to be a good signing like Borja and Skriniar so far.

  • macanoo muriidi

Icardi kills the flow, always been like that.

  • Deji

FDB’s off to a wonderfull start in the premier league

    • John

His silly possession football doesn’t work, and he blames on players (such as when he subbed Kondogbia after 27 minutes or so). Alas, if Crystal Palace haven’t learned from Inter then it’s their problem.

  • Ardy Satria Hasanuddin

    Sub :
    icardi – jovetic
    perisic – eder
    candreva – gabigol
    mario – brozo
    valero – rivas
    veccino – gagliardini
    ambrosio – ansaldi
    miranda – ranochia
    handa – padeli

    • Vidal_inter

      no

  • Dani Milekić

Terrible game so far, couldn’t care less for a penalty goal.
    We have difficulties going forward.

    • Lajoya

      and keeping possesion.

    • JAY

      field is boof

      • Dani Milekić

Both teams share it. No excuses. Poor show so far.

        • Pick

Big teams are winning when they are not playing so well too

        • JAY

          well both were poor

  • ezekiel

i want to see jojo or eder in 2nd half

    • JAY

      and gabi

      • ezekiel

yeah.. i just feel that we looks more dinamic with false number 9 like eder or jojo..

  • Inter 2010

    Betis 69% possesion LEL

    • Antonio

For the best. We have not come up against a team that holds the ball this preseason. It will be interesting to see how we deal with it in the second half

    • Naidman

The problem is down the middle. Betis seem to have open season in the center. Borja and Joao Mario doing pretty ok but seems Vecino isn’t really in the game. We need more steel in the middle. Too bad Fiorentina got Benassi before the Kondogbia fiasco began.

I know not everyone a fan of Duncan but I really rate him and also think he brings something different to the DM role with his diagnol runs and has a decent cross. There may be better players out there but doubt we would have the budget since we still need to fill a number of other gaps in the team with new CBs probably the most pressing

  • ezekiel

    great tackle by candreva

  • ezekiel

lol.. icardi should just try to hold the ball and wait for help.. ^^

    • JAY

      the field is horrible

      • ezekiel

yeah.. but he shouldn’t try to outrun the defender, since he’s not that fast and the defender was in front of him,,^^

        • JAY

he can do it he shield the ball and is a strong player, he is a lone striker keep in mind

          • ezekiel

he should try to control the ball and shield the ball and wait for help from his winger, not sprint with the ball with the defender in front of him..

          • JAY

well he is not passing ramos or botang or miranda he can do it

  • Deji

Dalbert just has no chemistry with the rest of the team. Once he and peresic start interchanging he’ll be good.

    • HaMiD

      He looks confused!

      • Deji

He is lol he has no idea where to be tactically, so he’s playing it safe and not going forward

        • JAY

not an excuse for his passes going straight out fail dribbling and forward going through like he is not even there

          • Deji

Its just nerves. Why are you sooo quick to judge him. You’re feening to be able to say you called him being a flop first sooo bad. Try giving our players time before crucifying them. literally wasnt even a full day yet

  • Antonio

Spalletti does not look impressed with how we are playing. Lost so many balls and keep slipping over. Yes the weather is at fault, but it affects R.Betis too and they dont seem to be slipping nearly as much as we are

  • JAY

dalbert is really starting to worry me

    • Antonio

Dude 36min into his first game after being with the team for 24hours… dont expect miracles. You could see he is not used to the new defenders as he was trying to play offside in their last attack on the right

      • Antonio

If anything, this is the norm for new players. Skrinir and Valero have adopted unbelievably well.

I havent seen anything from Vecino either tbh

        • JAY

yes only great players adapt right away remember the first min of snejder when he came on vs bilan? he raped them right away with a missle

    • Giuseppe Meazza

40 mins in his 5-year Inter contract and youre alr complaining

    • Inter 2010

If we start bashing him already it ain’t gonna work out for us. Give him time to adapt. He will certainly do better than Naga

      • JAY

im giving him time but i have my eyes on all his move

    • ezekiel

      too early to judge..^^

      • JAY

im saying he is STARTING to worry me

        • ezekiel

          okay

  • JAY

valeros head is so shiny i keep looking at it and think we signed bakayoko

    • ezekiel

inside that head is shiny too.. LOL

      • JAY

        magnificent player

  • Deji

Preseason has been great but only When we consistently beat the teams that park the bus against us will we be able to get back to europe.

    • Antonio

Unfortunately no team in preseason will play like that so its hard to work on

  • James

    no more MI9 captain armband?

  • Lajoya

    Penardi!

  • JAY

that was red wtf??? the rules have changed?

    • ezekiel

it’s a friendly.. i don’t want to see a red card.. we need them to play with 11 players to test our team

      • JAY

but he did it earlier too, and was on yellow

        • ezekiel

yeah.. i agree with you… it’s second yellow at least..but i still happy that the reff didn’t give the red.. because we will see many stupid reff in serie a. this is just a practice for our mentality.. LOL

  • ezekiel

    goal

  • solointer

Great refereeing for not giving the keeper a red card.Icardi great penalty

  • TQ

    MAUROGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLL

  • Vidal_inter

every time i hear barja it sound like bravo to me

  • Antonio

If this wasnt a friendly that keeper would have been off after his first challenge

  • Inter 2010

    LOLLLLLLLLL

  • ezekiel

  • TQ

    i hope we score plzzzz

  • Lajoya

Skriniar really impressive so far, his reading of the game is top.

  • Inter 2010

everyone is slipping and sliding lmao

  • ezekiel

    good defence by dalbert

    • Lajoya

      and someone said he’s bad.

  • Dani Milekić

Their keeper is shite. Gonna be sent off lol

  • Vidal_inter

it’s a rainy weather …not matter how bad dalbert plays we can’t judge him based on this single game

  • ezekiel

skriniar have good pass, we don’t need bonuci.. we have our own version of good passer from the back..

    • Inter 2010

He is cheaper, younger, and can still improve a lot. we struck gold here.

  • Lajoya

Nice throughball but Turdreva couldn’t control it.

    • Ardy Satria Hasanuddin

      Can’tdreva

  • Lajoya

Dalbert ain’t bad, 6.5 so far, marking the opponent well tho still looks nervous.

    • ezekiel

he need time, looks so nervous from the first minute

    • Antonio

He has been with the team what, 1 day. I would have been surprised of he didn’t make any mistakes

      • Deji

And the weather isnt helping with that

    • JAY

0 for me looks like you are watching the dinamo zagreb game

      • Lajoya

        to each their own.

  • Antonio

I thought my stream quality was horse shit but turns out it is the monsoon happening in Lecce right now

  • ezekiel

    acrobatic by perisic

    • JAY

      and those huge six packs

      • ezekiel

i thought i’m the only one notice that.. LOL

        • JAY

this mothe fucka is all hardl muscle

  • Inter 2010

The youtube livestream is full of trolls btw. i only see Bilan fans trolling us with serie b even though we have never been there 😛

    • ezekiel

both bbilan and rubentus troll.. LOL

    • ezekiel

btw bbilan lost to betis on their last friendly.. we just need to win this to shut them up.. XD

      • Inter 2010

Yeah, btw i don’t really believe the hype around Milan, they spend a lot of cash but i never see them become champion. hell, i even hope they fall outside top 4. that would be the funniest thing ever though.

        • ezekiel

they have a whole new team. they need time

    • JAY

if we sell perisic and jm, bilan rube fans might get their wish

  • Inter 2010

If Dalbert flops we should just cut the leftback position out of our team. Nagatomo has cursed it so bad. we should start playing with two left midfielders, maybe that will clear things up. AND DEMMIT DALBERT IS LOSING EVERY BALL POSSIBLE!!!

  • TQ

    dalbert is still emotional lol

  • Bruno Tome

I know we’re only 12 minutes in, but Dalbert has lost every single ball he’s touched.

  • ezekiel

betis won the game againts bbilan, i hope we can win this

  • James

dalbert playing with nerves of a porcupine

  • JAY

dalbert is playing worse than nagatomo fuck

  • ezekiel

i hope dalbert won’t become another lord..

  • ezekiel

  • ezekiel

    LOL.. dalbert..XD

    • JAY

      just one lol?

      • ezekiel

        looks like he’s nervous..

        • Inter 2010

He is indeed playing rather badly. hope it is just for this match

          • ezekiel

yeah.. lack of concentration.. looks like he’s nervous..

          • JAY

            dreadful
