Luciano Spalletti also stopped by Inter Channel to share his thoughts on the win away against his former team at the Stadio Olimpico.
“Three goals are more valuable than hitting the post thrice? Yes, also because we also did many other things. When we managed to create well there was always this feeling that we could hurt them. We did so too even when we lost the ball or made other errors, the team hammered on and were rewarded in the end.”
What did not go well tonight?
“The fact that we were not able to create more and move the ball faster. No matter who we play we have to take command of the game, do things that are of high quality. We need a better understanding and to trigger the mechanisms of quality that we have as was evident to see after the first half.”
Now there is the international break, how do you approch the fact that many players are leaving?
“I approach it with a little bit of anxiousness, I follow all of them. We will be compensating those who do good work whilst away from the training ground at Appiano Gentile. It is a monitoring job that Inter’s employees to excellently well.”
